HS900 Pro - Ultra-Light 4K Creator Drone FAQ

Before First Flight

What should I do before flying the drone for the first time?

Before your first flight, make sure the battery is fully charged, the propellers are properly installed, and the arms are fully unfolded.

Insert a TF card if needed and ensure it is compatible and properly prepared before use.

Power on the transmitter first, then the drone, and complete the connection process in the app.

Make sure the mobile device is properly connected and all required app permissions are enabled.

How do I ensure a safe first takeoff?

Choose a wide, open outdoor area away from buildings, trees, and power lines to avoid interference.

Wait until the GPS signal is strong and the satellite count is sufficient before taking off.

Make sure the drone status is normal and all indicators show that the aircraft is ready to fly.

Do not take off in strong wind or complex environments during your first flight.

Do I need to calibrate the compass before flying?

Compass calibration is recommended before the first flight or when flying in a new location.

Calibrate the compass if the app prompts you or if you notice abnormal flight behavior.

Magnetic interference from metal objects or structures may affect the calibration accuracy.

Perform calibration in an open outdoor area away from large metal objects, vehicles, or power lines.

Getting Started

What should I check before takeoff?

Before takeoff, make sure the battery and TF card are inserted correctly, the arms and propellers are fully unfolded, and the drone is placed on a flat open surface.

Check the transmitter battery, drone battery, antenna position, and connection cable before entering the flight interface.

The drone should also be properly paired and ready for flight before takeoff.

Complete all pre-flight checks in the app and confirm the aircraft status is normal before starting the motors.

Why can’t the drone enter GPS mode or get enough satellite signal?

The GPS signal may be too weak if you are flying indoors or in places blocked by buildings, trees, or other obstacles.

Move to an open outdoor area and wait until the satellite count reaches at least 14 before takeoff.

If the GPS signal is not strong enough, the drone may not enter normal GPS positioning mode.

Do not rush to take off before the GPS signal is stable, especially when recording the first Home Point.

Why can’t the app or transmitter connect to the drone?

The transmitter, mobile device, and drone may not be connected in the correct sequence.

Turn on the transmitter first, then power on the drone, connect the mobile device, and enter the app again.

The connection cable or app permissions may also affect pairing and data transmission.

Make sure the connection cable is secure and all required app permissions are enabled before retrying.

Flight Issues

Why can’t the drone take off?

The motors may not be unlocked correctly, or the drone may not have entered a ready-to-fly state.

Confirm pairing is complete, then use the correct stick command or app takeoff function to start the motors.

Insufficient GPS signal, low battery, or abnormal aircraft status may also prevent takeoff.

Check battery level, GPS status, app warnings, and aircraft indicator status before attempting another takeoff.

Why is the drone drifting or flying unstably?

Weak GPS signal, compass interference, or environmental interference may cause unstable flight or abnormal posture.

Fly in an open area away from large metal objects, towers, and strong magnetic interference.

If needed, the compass may need calibration before the next flight.

Recalibrate the compass and restart the flight only after the aircraft status returns to normal.

Why is the live video feed lagging or the transmission distance limited?

Signal interference, poor antenna direction, or excessive flight distance may reduce transmission quality.

Ensure the flat side of the transmitter antennas faces the drone and keep the drone within the recommended range.

Buildings, power lines, and other obstacles may weaken image transmission.

Fly in open spaces and maintain a clear line of sight between the drone and transmitter whenever possible.

Troubleshooting

Why can't the drone take photos or record videos?

The drone may not have a TF card inserted, or the card may not be recognized properly.

Insert a compatible TF card before taking photos or recording video.

Storage settings or card condition may also affect recording.

Check that the TF card is usable and properly prepared before flight.

Why does the drone automatically return to the home point?

The drone may trigger Return-to-Home when the transmitter signal is lost or when the battery level becomes critically low.

Maintain a stable connection and monitor battery status in time to avoid unexpected return during flight.

Return-to-Home may not work properly if the GPS signal is weak or unavailable, and strong wind may also affect the return accuracy.

Make sure GPS positioning is normal before takeoff, avoid flying in strong wind, and remember that the drone does not detect obstacles during Return-to-Home.
