HS180, Eye-Friendly LED Toy Drone for Kids FAQ
Troubleshooting · HS180
  • Pair the drone and transmitter

    - Long-press the drone power button and place it level (head facing away).

Short-press the transmitter power button; when both LEDs turn solid, pairing is successful.

    - If pairing fails, reboot both and try again on a flat, open area.

  • One-Key Takeoff / Landing

    - Unlock motors first: either short-press the unlock button, or move L-stick to bottom-right + R-stick to bottom-left.

Short-press One-Key Start/Takeoff/Landing: the drone auto takeoffs and hovers at ~5 ft; short-press again to auto land.

  • Speed switch & LED light modes

    - Two speeds: Low (default) and High. Short-press Speed to toggle (1 beep = Low; 2 beeps = High).

    Nominal speeds: Low ≈ 5.48 ft/s, High ≈ 8.2 ft/s.

    - LEDs: short-press Light to cycle through 6 lighting modes (beeps once each change).

  • Headless Mode

    - Long-press the Headless button to enter/exit (long beep).

In Headless, pushing the right stick forward always flies forward relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone’s nose.

  • Stunts: 360° Flip / Circle Fly / High-Speed Rotation

    - 360° Flip: short-press Flip, then push the right stick (F/B/L/R). Perform flips only at ≥ ~10 ft height.

    - Circle Fly: long-press the Circle key to start/stop (auto-exits after ~5 s).

    - High-Speed Rotation: short-press Spin to start; auto-exits after ~5 s or press again to stop.

    - Note: Some stunt functions are unavailable when the battery is low.

  • Fix drift / keep hover stable

    - Minor indoor drift is normal; hold the Trim button and nudge the right stick opposite to the drift (L/R & F/B trims).

After bumps or crashes, do a gyro calibration: place level, move both sticks to the bottom-left until LEDs blink and turn solid.

    - Check propellers: replace bent ones and ensure A/B props match the correct motors.

  • Emergency Stop & after-crash reset

    - Emergency Stop: long-press the two top buttons simultaneously to stop motors immediately (use only in real emergencies; the drone will drop).

If it hits the ground and LEDs flash rapidly, place it level and push the left stick down until LEDs turn solid, then fly again.

  • Battery & charging

    - Flight time per battery: about 7 minutes (windless). Max distance ≈ 131 ft / 40 m.

Charging: remove battery → use the original USB cable with a 5V/1–2A source. Battery LED red = charging; off = full; typical time ≈ 50 min. Let the battery cool before charging.

  • Low-battery warnings

    - Aircraft: front/rear LEDs flash quickly; transmitter may beep continuously. Land promptly and recharge.

Transmitter: power indicator flashes rapidly when its batteries are low; replace the 3 × AAA cells.

  • Best place to fly

    - Open outdoor areas with little wind and no obstacles; always keep visual line of sight.

Indoors is possible with prop guards and adult supervision.

  • Altitude Hold

    - Releasing the left stick keeps the altitude steady (the throttle stick springs back to center automatically).
