Another great product design from holy stone . It come with a very nice backpack bag The whole product can keep in side safely.would like to give 4.5 stars but 4 the only option. Half star off because the remote control is not really functional accordingly but one with the app controls with the cell phone all works very well. The camera 1080p very good quality pictures. Have fun

Good drone for beginners

This is my first drone and it was fun! The drone came in a very professional case and the setup process (connecting with the transmitter) was easy enough. Instructions given were clear. The drone also flew remarkably stably, though I found moving the drone forward/backwards was a little confusing. Launching and landing the drone was very easy though with their one touch controls. It even does flips~ I am excited to explore more of its features next flying session. A good purchase overall!

This is my 4th different style of Holy Stone drone that I have owned. Holy Stone makes a drone for each level of drone pilot out there! The F181W is a good drone for beginners and is fun to fly! It comes in a very nice case which is perfect for storage and portability! Setup of the drone is extremely simple…within a few short minutes, you are ready to fly!

Despite owning 3 of the $200+ Holy Stone drones, I found myself thoroughly entertained by this drone! Unlike my other drones which I often send up as high and as far as they allow, I typically keep this one in the confines of my yard. Without the GPS hold functionality that I have been accustomed to, I found it refreshing to go back to the basics of controlling a drone in flight. After getting used to the controls and on calm days, I have a blast weaving in and out of my porch posts and “drifting” around the flagpole in my front yard! It is also fun to do flips and rolls using the top-right shoulder button of the remote. The top-left shoulder button also allows you to change the speed of the drone.

With it being very light in weight, it is susceptible to drift from the breeze and keeps you on your game at the controls. I don’t recommend flying in too much wind however. One day I tested the drone in 5-7 mile per hour winds and it was too light to properly control which led to 2 crashes. The light weight and flexible plastic handled these crashes very well though giving testament to its durability.

The drone has a static FPV camera that snaps into place on the belly. It is adjustable up/down before flight. The camera takes decent quality pictures and videos. I am attaching actual in-flight pictures from the drone to this review. It is cool to have a first person perspective on your phone while flying this drone using the Deerc app on your phone/tablet!

The flight time per battery lasts just around 10 minutes. Having 2 batteries doubles your fun at 20 minutes! The batteries only take approximately 30-45 minutes to fully charge via the included Micro-USB cable and a standard USB charging block (not included) getting you quickly back into the air! They are very easy to swap out by simply pressing on a release button and sliding rearward out of the drone. The new battery slides easily into place and clicks firmly into place.

After getting the basics of flight down with the remote control, it is fun to play with functionality of the drone through the previously mentioned Deerc app. You can control the drone entirely through the app with onscreen “joystick-style” controls. You can also draw a pattern on your phone screen for the drone to fly. Flying the drone via voice commands and making gestures is fun as well!

In summary, I highly recommend this drone for those who are younger and/or just wanting to get started in the drone world! The reasonable price along with the good quality, fun features and the ABSOLUTELY UNBEATABLE customer service of Holy Stone makes this drone a great choice!
