Great drone for beginners to get more features and experience. GPS!

Several folks had bought the entry level drones and then came back and said, "Where do I go from here?" After looking around, I tried to find a drone that would give them more features but not break the bank. I decided to try out the Holy Stone HS175.
I loved that this one came with a zip up case for portability. Everything fit inside to make it easy to transport from place to place. The guards were easy to install and remove. This and the foldable design made for easy setup and breakdown. It came with two batteries for extended flight time. It has a rechargeable controller which hasn't been the case on most of the beginner drones. To get a better experience from a drone, it's nice to have the GPS. Once calibrated, it helps it maintain position and is easier to control. If you lose control or get in trouble, just hit the "return to home" button and watch it come back to you. It has the power to maintain controlled flight even in more windy conditions. One great feature is that you can adjust the camera while in flight. It's great to be able to adjust it to a better angle without having to land it and make the corrections like most of the beginner drones. This alone makes it a superb choice for this price range. You can choose to install an SD card or let it record to your phone. The video resolution is better if you use the memory card.
The only issue I did hit early on was the GPS calibration. For some reason, it just seemed a little different from most. I had to rotate it quite a few times for the lights to change and sync. I read the instructions a couple more times and once I make sure to do it all as specified, it worked great. The software will tell you if it's in GPS mode or something else so take your time and make sure you get the calibration right. It'll be worth it. You've probably seen a lot of drone footage by now so the video just shows some basic shots.
All in all, I had a great experience flying this drone. For features and price, it's hard to beat. Highly recommended!
