Nice drone. Now my neighbor wants one. Easy to setup and fly. I did have to talk to customer service to ask about a shipping snafu, and they were awesome. Very fast to answer both times I called (less than a minute). Overall very pleased!

I've really wanted a video drone for a long time and finally decided to buy the Holy Stone HS100 drone on Prime Day. I felt the price point was enticing enough to give it a try. I was very surprised at the sophistication of this drone. I spent about an hour assembling it. There isn't anything cheap about it. I felt that I got my money's worth alone on the flyability of this drone. It works great with the phone app. The GPS feature is really great for having a simple one-button touch to both launch and land the drone. It's fast too. I found the maneuverability to be very responsive. My concern with the GPS is that you need a strong signal to connect your phone to the drone. I was in a large field and had to walk around a bit to find an area with a strong GPS signal. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of video from this drone. I expected the 1080P HD camera to have a lot more detail. Instead, a lot of colors just blended in together. I felt the best looking video was that of things that were far off in the distance. Another concern was that the video was recorded in a .avi format. I'm a Mac user and can't view .avi. It's a Windows-exclusive video format. Yes, there are conversion apps out there, but it's another time and monetary expense to view the files. While the video did concern me, I did have to remind myself that this is not a professional video drone. And because of that I didn't take any points off. The video I get is blotchy, but still viewable. I did call support and they were quick to answer my questions and listen to my concerns. Also, Holy Stone offers a free battery for giving an Amazon review. That's a $40 savings right there...and a nice value-added reason for buying this drone. Bottom line, it's a feature-rich drone that has some impressive GPS qualities, but the video is not true high-definition quality. I would think this best for a teen who might be a budding video enthusiast. I'll use it a lot, but I'll keep my expectations low for the quality of video. All in all it's a good choice for a starter video drone.

I purchased this drone so that my grandson and I could have a first drone experience together. Be prepared, it does take practice but after a short period of time we had our drone working well. It was very exciting. I have since used other drones that were nowhere as easy to set up and fly. This is substantial drone, so be prepared to fly something big. The bottom line is that I would buy this again and even upgrade to a more sophisticated drone. But, I think for a beginner who is serious about flying, taking pictures and having fun. This was a perfect start for us. My only request to Holystone would be to have a better YouTube instruction video. The audio on the one we utilized could be improved.

I really wanted a drone to play with at my lake home. Always concerned about the cheaper ones being a poor quality and my lack of flying experience putting a good quality drone into the lake. Saw this Holy Stone drone on Amazon and based on the other reviews decided to purchase one.
What a great little drone! I had it assembled in minutes but waited until today to make my initial flight as I wanted my adult son to share in the fun when he came to town for a visit. Today was the day. Loved how easy it was to coordinate the GPS and fly the drone. The self takeoff and self landing button made it so very simple. Noticed that when it met the transmitter distance maximum, it brought itself back into our zone where we could control. Taking pictures was a snap and the quality? Well, I'll attach some pics so you can see for yourself.
So glad I made this purchase. Know it will get many hours of use.

I was impressed by how well this drone operates. Simple to learn. Very clever electronics. It hovers in place very well, even in the wind. Because such tiny screws are used to attach the propellers, I assembled mine on on a bed sheet. One caveat: My cell phone could not be properly clamped in the control unit, as needed to position the drone for photos. Instead, I used a heavy rubber band to attach the phone to the control unit, which works fine. One reviewer complained about poor service, but my experience was otherwise. I was getting "VPN interference" messages when I first attempted to connect the cellphone app to the drone. I emailed HolyStone and got a prompt reply to shut off my phone's "MOBILE DATA" and "ROAMING" features. Problem solved. Also, be cautioned that the "Return Home" feature takes several seconds to begin, although it works great. Good aerial photos with a nice, loud "click" sound, and good videos. I appreciate the relatively long (15-18 min) hover time. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This drone has been incredible. It has far exceeded my expectations!
I have owned and flown other drones in the past but they have always been difficult to control and break before I really get to master them. This drone is extremely simple to get started with and takes fantastic pictures! When you become more comfortable with it, the fast mode offers new challenges!
The GPS will both bring the drone back when the battery gets low and allow you to limit how far away the drone will fly. The gimble for the camera lets you take pictures from many angles.
I love flying and I try to fly this drone every day. Holy Stone makes a great product at a value price and also provides impressive service. I now want more drones and I plan to order them from Holy Stone.
