N.O.

Awesome drone for the money. Great quality camera and a good stable flight performer. The case is really awesome and protects everything really well. A lot of extra protection that will help if dropped. The experience in learning and setting up is smooth. The charge time was way quicker than I thought.

I was happy to got a drone to my collection. It has a lot of functions on remote control such as home return, headless mode, different directions and many other useful functions. Headless mode and home return works perfectly. I has rechargeable controller so you do not have to buy the batteries. Gps mode works just fine. It has a good camera. Attitude mode gives you stability. This drone comes with a bag so you do not have to worry about breaking your drone
So do not wait until it gone. Go and buy it and you will be happy

HS110G- Fun Drone For Beginners!

5

Brent Hathcock

I have been very interested in drones for a few weeks now and decided to buy this drone as a beginner drone. It is lightning quick and its connection is very strong. The camera is very nice as it records around 1080p with 25 FPS. All information and FAQ’s you need to know is hopefully answered below:

Camera-
The camera is very good for the price as its field of view is 110 degrees. The screenshots are a bit more clear than the video, but overall it has warm colors and the stabilization is great. Also, the propellers are visible in the top left and right corners of the videos and screenshots, which I actually enjoy. I would suggest to buy a micro SD card to place inside the drone in order to save all photos and videos. All in all, the camera is a prominent feature in this drone and shoots at a great angle.

Battery-
The battery has around 13 minutes of flight time and it takes around 2 hours to charge. It comes with 2 batteries, which have never failed me, and snugly fits into its place in the drone. It is a very durable battery!

Connectivity-
Once up in the air, I had already tried to do a range test and found it to be surprisingly far. It goes around 950ft-1000ft without any obstructing objects. The camera on the app on the phone has little to no delay and connects very well with the drone. You should have no need to point the controller or antennas towards the drone to make it work (as I’ve had this happen before with other manufacturer’s drones) for it maintains a stable connection throughout the flight.

Awesome Functions:
The amount of functions on this drone is one of the many factors which makes it an exceptional drone. It includes a custom flight plan maker, a GPS auto return to home, a follow me and track feature, multiple speed feature, altitude control system, a one key takeoff and landing, headless mode, and a remarkable record voice feature (uncommon in many drones). Best of all, these functions have never failed and continue to surprise me!

Carrying Bag:
The carrying bag that is included with the drone is very durable and it is waterproof and spill proof. It makes it very convenient to carry the drone around and place wherever you want. All items included with this drone fit into the carrying bag nicely.

Remote:
The drone remote is easy to set up and fits comfortably in your hands. The joysticks are not hard plastic and therefore do not scrape your hands. The beeping sounds are not too loud or too soft when it notifies you that something is happening. It is a very nice remote.

Drone App:
The drone app that is free from the App Store is very easy to navigate and command. Once you turn on the drone, you must go to settings and find the drone WiFi to connect to. From here, if you go to the app, the camera from the drone should automatically connect and show great video. All buttons and features are shown and have no delay by communicating with the drone.

Overall:
This drone is a very fun drone for me to fly with and is perfect for beginners. It is very stable in flight and is a great product overall. For the price of this product, it may have some downgrades but is very close to impersonating a $250-$300 drone. Thank you HolyStone for this great buy and I definitely would recommend it to anyone! Thanks for reading! :)

lightweight and durable

The HS110G from Holy Stone came with a nice zipper carrying case with all the accessories needed, including 2 batteries and extra props. Startup was the same as the other drones, you have to pair the remote, calibrate the gyro, then register GPS signal. The initialization of this drone is probably the fastest I've seen yet, I was able to take off within 2 minutes of popping in the battery cartridge.

With GPS locked in, the drone will maintain its location within roughly a square meter area, no matter the wind directions. I can't even deal with drones that don't have GPS anymore, it is a must-have feature. The camera mounted underneath is removable, but no adjustable positioning, the camera only points straight forward, but is wide-angle enough to catch almost any view.

After a mix-up and a collision with a garden fence, the drone seemed to struggle maintaining balance during the next flight. I was concerned but then did a recalibration of the gyro and it performed much better, so it's important to remember to recalibrate during any hard landing or crash.

Return to home seemed to behave differently, as most other drones rise up high to avoid obstacles, then navigate to home position, then drop down. This one maintained its current altitude, then slowly navigated and lowered to the starting point. This one has a unique button that can do an emergency power kill mid-flight. I didn't try it, but supposedly it will shut down the props and the unit just free-falls, perhaps a good safety-net with some of the reports of GPS flaking out in similar drone models and losing control of the drone.

All in all this was a fun drone to play with and a good starter drone for the beginner!

The packaging is awesome! I've personally never seen a case as good as this one. Everything has a place and fits securely and safely. With some of my other drones it's a hassle to carry a remote, battery, drone and other pieces out to my car to go fly, but with this one you just throw the case in your trunk or on your back and your'e good to go! There are a couple zippered pockets for any extra things you want to throw in. A+

The drone is very light, but seems sturdy and strong. It comes with an extra set of landing gear and props in case you get into any hard crashed. But the drone is so light that crash damage tends to be very minimal if any. Ive crashed 3 or 4 times into trees and there is no sign of damage, even on the props. I love that it comes with 2 batteries, and the flight times the company suggests are accurate. You can only charge one battery at a time.

The controller is very cool. It is sturdy, and the fold out arms are very comfortable and not just a gimmick. The gimbals are smooth and the tension seems to be about perfect. I love that it comes with it's own rechargeable internal battery. Just make sure you charge the controller every time you charge the two batteries for the drone to make sure you don't run out of power during a flying sesh like I did!

As always with Holystone, the drone comes with clear easy to follow instructions. I tried to set up the drone inside and couldn't get it to work. I went outside and everything connected just fine. I think it might have something to do with the satellites. Make sure you connect to the wifi through the free app first. Just start at the beginning and follow the steps and you'll be flying within a minute or two.

One thing I don't like is that I don't think you can fly without the app on your phone. I wasn't able to anyway. But it's not a big deal as I love to have access to live video on my phone while I'm flying. Also, on the app it helps guide you through set up and tell you of any low battery warnings or troubleshooting.

[Edit] I found out you can fly without your phone. You just have to turn of the gps from the controller. Instructions are in the manual, I just skipped over them the first time.

The weather has been pretty crappy where I live and I haven't been able to max out the range in the week I've had it. I flew a bit in my back yard (see video) and didn't have any problems. You have the option of recording video at 1080 on a micro Sd card, or having the video automatically save on your phone at 720. The video I posted is from an sd card. The video your phone records would be the same thing you see FPV style on your phone. Don't expect to be able to fly behind any solid objects and be able to have a good signal. When you do lose signal, there will be a pause on your phone until it picks up the wifi signal a couple seconds later. This pause will be recorded to your phone unless you have an sd card. Even in my back yard the video signal would cut out intermittently depending on distance and angle of the drone. Also there is no video stabilization, so if there is much wind, your video will be choppy. I love the 110 degree camera. I've had many drones where the video was unusable because the view was so narrow. With this camera you have great peripheral view!

Right now, Holystone is my favorite Chinese drone company. Their products are solid, do what they say they are going to do, and their quality control is great. If for some reason you get a dud, Customer service will take care of you. I've purchased 4 different drones from them and they all work perfectly. However, don't expect this to compete with high end drone footage you see on the internet. A lot of those drones cost $1000+. This is a great, inexpensive beginner drone with everything you need to get started to crash around and see if you like the hobby enough to look at the expensive and complicated ones.

Neat little drone that is great for beginners

this drone responds well to commands.... takes great pictures and video... the only thing I would caution people about is that this drone is light and does not tolerate wind but that is true with any light drone..
