Good drone for the money

This is my first drone purchase so have none other to compare it with, but seems it’s a nice drone for the money. I have only used it a couple of times and still trying to familiarize myself with it and it’s features. I feel the instructions could be a little more detailed especially for calibrating the compass. I had problems with the vertical calibration but customer service solved the problem. So far no complaints.

I lost my very first drone after flying too far away from the transmitter. The HolyStone 110G has the return-to-home feature which automatically causes the drone to return to its most recent take-off location if it permanently loses connection to the transmitter. Even it your transmitter does not die, the drone will fly back into range once out out range. It has the GPS feature which allows the drone to maintain its position if you stop controlling it. It will just hover there. the battery last about 15 minutes and there are 3 batteries in the box. It is solidly built but light-weight and fun to fly. The 110g has a camera that can connect to your phone via an App. I highly recommend this drone as it has features that rival more expensive drones.

- turning it on and setting up is a longer. than preferred process but easy and quick after doing a few times.
-wish it had a camera on a gyro.
-GPS doesn’t connect easily depending on location.

Overall for the price you can’t beat this Drone. For a beginner , take slow and fly it on a day with no wind. For people with experience just open it up charge it and go, so much fun.
Also.... don’t try to fly inside!

This review will be a little different from your average review. I will start off by saying I have about 35 minutes total of droan flying experence. I purchased an HS720 4K droan plus 2 extra batteries and 2 propellar repair kits. After after flying a few 6 or 7 minute flights I decided to gert more brave, get above the trees and look around. This did not turn out well. I lost line of sight because of a tall pine tree and that was the end of the flight, and the droan. I did get a good picture of a pine tree and some sky from the droan on my phone but I never found the droan. Lesson learned. I bought another HS720 4K and it is still in the box. That is the reason for the HS110G. For a little over $100.00 you can get this one. Startup is simular to the HS720. Read the instructions and you are ready to fly. Depending on how long it takes for your WiFi etc. to hook up you should be ready to go in 15 minutes. I decided to test it in a confined area in my back yard. I wanted to see how difficult it would be to control it in a small area. There are any number of videos you can watch showing you great pictures in large areas, but I see no reason to do the same thing. Watch the video and you will see what I am talking about. Flying this is fun. You can see I crashed it twice, once getting too close to a tree and once landing it without using the return home button. Neither did any damage to the droan. The landing video is seperate and I can only send one video. This droan hande's minor crashes well. If you are a beginner like me you can't go wrong with the HS110G. To me, the picture quality is excellent, the soft case and interior with the form fitting foam is tops. The only thing wrong with the HS110G is the person holding the controller. Get one, you won't be disappointed. Update 7/12/2020. After watching the video I submitted, the video quality I see is nothing like the original. The original I downloaded to my computer looks very clear.

I love the quality of this drone. Holy Stone makes a good product, user friendly. For a beginner you can pick this up very easy. Perhaps the best feature of this drone is the camera, great quality, great shots. Great quality remote, sturdy drone, easy to learn on. They send spare parts too for the unfortunate time you have a fender bender. Priced right, HS quality, fun drone to learn on...you cant go wrong! the picture shows high quality photos from high up.
