I've flown alot of small drones and this one is so simple to fly. It got 3 speeds too. It also came with 3 batteries and 3 chargers for longer flight time. Sweet. I would definitely recommend this drone

[Update] After we received a bad drone, we contacted the seller (DeeRC) and they were very helpful and sent us a replacement unit.

This mini drone works very well. There are some very obvious advantages of HS450 over other drones that we found very useful when flying in unpaired mode
- All 4 propeller blades are covered on all sides and from the top. This helps to catch and hold the drone without the fear of hurting your fingers or eyes. This was paramount criteria when buying this drone. I was glad it worked out well for us.
- The construction of the drone is sturdy - and I am not worried when it falls on carpeted floor or in the park
- It comes with 3 batteries - which is sufficient play time in one sitting with kids
- It has collision detectors on all sides - so it prevents collision with walls very easily.

If you are looking for your 1st drone for kids - this one is an excellent choice in sub $30 range.
Best of all - the customer support is great.

I had one of my high school classes review and test this product. They thought the instructions were a little hard to follow, and struggled with the operation without the remote control, they struggled to sync the remote. It would definitely take someone willing to read the step by step instructions, because they are clear, and preferably someone who has had some experience with a drone remote to have immediate success. After a little practice we got the remote flying more successfully. The hand flying without the remote is challenging but fun. All in all it is a great little drone for inside the house. It is so light and durable that it does not damage anything.

Another Excellent product from Holy Stone. Best little mini drone I own!

This little Holy Stone HS450 Mini Drone is one of the BEST little drones my son and I have flown. It is such a joy to fly. It is a tough little drone too. We have been flying battery after battery for a few weeks now and it has stood up to my 6 yr. old's constant crashing, lol... We have not had to replace any parts and have not had any failures! It came with 3 batteries and that is not enough, LOL.. It does a great job at flips and the hand controls work flawlessly. We are addicted to flying this drone and will be ordering more batteries! This is the 3rd drone I have purchased from Holy Stone and it has been flown the most (due to its small size for indoor flight). Great products Holy Stone! Keep up the great work!!

This is a great starter drone for the kids. It's inexpensive and lightweight, but durable. It has nice crash guards so that it won't fall apart on its first fall. Great unit to help learn the ins and outs.
