We ordered this drone because my 5 year old saved his money and purchased a Fisher Price 4yr and up drone from target just before this purchase. When we opened it up and he tried it out, the fisher price drone broke in less than 30 seconds by running into a wall. A $40 toy meant for young kids! We looked on amazon and found this drone and the reviews were great so we decided to give it a try. I’m happy to report that my 5 year old has flown this over and over. It’s hit walls and is still going strong. The battery lasts about 20 min which isn’t long enough for a 5 year old but it’s tough! I’d highly recommend this drone to moms of young kids who are just beginning to learn how to fly these toys.

Just in the past month we've had over three feet of snow and temperatures down to eight below. Does this mean I'm not able to fly my new Holy Stone HS190 quadcopter?
Not at all. I'm looking forward to the open skies - in June maybe. But in the meantime it's perfectly happy to be an indoor drone, staying warm by the pellet stove.
What makes this so possible is the remarkable stability built in to the control capabilites. Altitude control as solid as I've ever seen it, hover power that keeps it where you want it until you tell it go, and an auto rotate function that keeps it one place but lets you move it around as it spins.
It's self contained, collapses, and fits in storage space in the controller and even allows charging from the controller's batteries.The clear instructions get it assembled and in the air in no time and so simple to fly even a child could manage it.
Which is what I feel like as I marvel that at my age I can get so much fun making it flip and roll and spin around.
It will be nice to get it outside though.

Purchased the HS190 as a Christmas gift for my 9 year old. She was piloting like a pro in minutes. She really likes the stunt buttons to flip or spin the drone. I appreciate the altitude hold and headless option as it allowed her to develop her skills much more quickly. The drone flying is pretty intuitive and the slower flight option also helps hone skills. It really has been fun for the whole family.
Seem to get at least 7 minutes per flight with A 20 to 30 minute charge.
We have also been impressed by the durability so far. It has ended up in some rough positions and comes out ready for more.
Finally based on others comments we are confident that Holy Stone will stand behind its products.

We wer so impressed that we bought a Holy Stone U818A to try a camera.

Will update this review with experience.
Update: May 2019. Kids rarely use anymore but still works fine when they do. Replaced props and guards about once a year.

Gift for my son and my husband should habe gotten his own! It's allot of fun! Much smaller than I expected, but I probably just didn't read that part of the description.

I am not a master of drones; but holy stone never lets me down with their product. The hs190 was a lot smaller than I expected. It is easy to operate and with the altitude hold and three speeds ...makes it even easier. Directions were easy to follow, good idea to calibrate before each use. Best to use indoors and out of bad elements. Extremely fun toy! Customer service always is fantastic if you have questions. Anxious to see what holy stone comes up with next. For the price point, I think Holy Stone meets their mark and then some!

Phenomenal performance. I bought this one for a present but it wasn't going to arrive in time, went to Wal-Mart and picked one up and gave it as the present. We played with it for a bit, it was alright. Came home and this one had arrived so I charged it up, the difference is night and day, price was the same.

I've been flying rc aircraft for 8 years, so far this drone easily maxed out my skill capacity and there's still more to learn about it. BEST PART, my wife who has no experience at all can fly it and land it flawlessly.

Great design, high quality so far and perfectly clear instructions, you can tell the manual writer spoke English well! Cones with tons of spare parts, thank God. This is my first break into the drone world and im very impressed.

P.S. tried out the fast speed on the first night of playing with it.... ohhh boy.
