Great drone, better customer service!

Overall I give this 5 stars. When I received the drone the controller wouldn’t stay on. I called customer service and they were great. They’re sending me a new controller without issue. I’ve been playing with the drone connected to my phone since then and it’s a lot of fun. Easy to use and learn. A great drone for a beginner. I’ll update the remote control to 5 stars after I try the new one.

I have a friend who is a drone enthusiast, and he advised me that Holy Stone drones were an excellent investment. They are well made, with great performance for a reasonable price. He has owned a couple of DJI drones and started to dabble in FPV. He loved the Holy Stone, so I was pretty excited when my wife got me one for my birthday.

I had gotten some low-end hobby drones in the past, and I never bothered with them for long, because I couldn't handle the altitude control at the same time as flight maneuvering. For about $100 at the time, my wife got me a drone that has altitude control, a good looking camera, headless mode, and a bunch of features that I haven't even touched, yet!

I had a bit of an issue with connecting my phone to the drone's wifi at first. I had heard that Holy Stone customer service was amazing, so I shot them an email. Una was quick to respond and extremely helpful! She (I guess it could be a guy, but I'm going to assume it a girl) considered everything, asked for very reasonable information, and made logical suggestions. I could tell that she wanted to help me solve my problem as quickly and easily as possible, and she wasn't just an outsourced customer service rep going through a random checklist. She isolated my issue and handled it quickly. She was like my own personal concierge at Holy Stone! She always responded within 12 hours. My wife was getting jealous as I raved about the attention I was getting. I've never had such a satisfying experience! Now my drone is in perfect working order and I couldn't be happier. Holy Stone has my business for life!

This drone is a great entry level product! Flew it day #1! So easy to do, and control. There is a small learning curve, but after a few minor mishaps, I was able to fly with little issues! Its very durable, I would suggest that you put some reflective orange tape on landing gear to make a little easier to find when those mishaps occur. I would recommend this product to all!

Drone arrived boxed and complete - instructions get you going right away. Follow the Quick-start guide and you're in the air as soon as you've allowed the drone battery to charge. This was my first experience with a drone - had disasters with RC planes in the past, so was a little leary, but fears vanished quickly. Very easy to fly - small learning curve, but so much you can do with it. Hit a few trees and bushes - no damage, just a restart required. Phone ap works fantastic, both for pix and video, as shown, but also for controlling the drone. Haven't tried pure FPV control, but the function is there and clearly usable. Video downloads as AVI/MP4 to Ipad or desktop for viewing. Great Product - More Fun - and definately draws one into the hobby - I'm hooked!

This drone is fun. The live feed and range are quite nice for this price point. I've owned a couple of drones before this one and the photo resolution is superior to those. I have also had a few crashes with the drone and it's shown to be durable. When I first got the drone there was an issue with the drone's camera. The Holy Stone customer service helped me diagnose the problem quickly and when it was determined my camera was faulty they sent me a new camera. There isn't anything to dislike about the company or the drone.

Easy to operate. Tough!

This is a good drone for a beginner like myself. The camera is good for basic video and getting to know the quality difference when purchasing a more expensive drone. I highly recommend this drone if this is your first.
