I've used several beginner drones over the last few months and I have to say this one is the best. It's reasonably priced and comes in an amazing carrying case. I would say that the case was the most impressive thing about this package. My previous drones came in a box, this one comes with a custom, form-foam fitted case for every component.
The drone flies smooth and is much quieter than other drones of equivalent size that I've used. Very stable and easy to fly. The remote has separate dedicated trim controls which makes precision flying much easier, where as other drones I've flown, the trim controls are accessed by pressing and holding one button, then holding your mouth just right, then moving the same controls that are used for other actually flying the drone. It can be very confusing but having dedicated controls makes it very simple for beginner drone operators.
Smaller drones can be quickly and easily affected by light winds or wind gusts. This drone seems to be just the right size that I didn't have much trouble with it getting blown around by the wind and was able to control the flight even in mildly windy conditions.
This drone comes with a 1080p camera, and I was pretty impressed by the quality of the video. One caveat about recording, the wifi range isn't very good, so I don't recommend flying this drone at high altitudes. There is no warning of any sort for low wifi signal, it just cuts out. If you're flying the drone with your phone and you lose wifi signal, I can easily see this drone being lost for good as there is no recall or recovery once you lose control.
The battery life on this drone also isn't very long. The very most I got out of a battery was 10 minutes. It does comes 2 batteries which can extent the flight time.
My kids have their own drones and are constantly asking to fly this one. I would recommend this drone whether you are a new drone operator or someone an operator with some experience. This one is a great drone overall.

It is a very good buy. It's easy to handle. I bought a 60G card and the camera works very well. My son is happy with this drone. Even the protectors fall off with the slightest contact, it is still a very good buy.

Easy to learn. Follow recommended age of 14. We bought as a gift for grandsons 11th birthday. Too young to handle drone. Photo is grandma retrieving drone from a soybean field after a two hour search.

This drone is super light weight and fun for beginners. It comes with extra propellers and propeller guards which come in handy if you crash it (which you probably will). The camera works well, but the drone has to be really still to get photos that aren't blurry. Since the drone is so light, it has a tendency to float or drift without you actually touching the controls. DO NOT FLY IT IF THERE IS WIND OR EVEN A SLIGHT BREEZE. Again, since it's very light, it will get blown around pretty easily. It has different speed modes that make it easier or more difficult to control depending on the speed. This thing can really move at its top speed, but it can be hard to control so practice caution. Also, this drone can do some stunts which is a lot of fun. Double tapping one of the control buttons on the controller makes it do flips and barrel rolls. It's definitely best to learn to fly this drone in an open space away from any obstacles (i.e., trees, people, dogs, houses, etc.) so you can learn to control it. Once you do learn, it is a fun entry-level drone to get you into the drone space.
